Kissimmee Campus Virtual Tour
Flight School at Kissimmee Gateway Airport — Osceola County, FL
SunState Powered by Academy of Aviation's Kissimmee campus is based at Kissimmee
Gateway Airport (KISM) in Kissimmee, Florida — one of Central Florida's most
established career pilot training operations, serving students since 2002.
The
campus features a 16,000 sq ft purpose-built training center and serves students
throughout Osceola County, St. Cloud, Celebration, and the south Orlando
corridor.
As Veronica, a graduate of this campus, puts it: "Finished up my
PPL at SunState and it was a great experience plus the perfect location to fly."
Pilot Training in Central Florida — Year-Round Flying Weather
Kissimmee Gateway sits in the heart of Central Florida's general aviation corridor, with consistent VFR conditions and minimal weather disruptions year-round. Florida's climate delivers more flyable days per year than virtually any northern market — fewer cancellations means a faster path to certification. Students gain real-world experience across the greater Orlando region's varied airspace while training at a campus with over two decades of proven career pilot outcomes.
FAA Part 141 Career Pilot Program
The Kissimmee campus offers a full FAA Part 141 career pilot program from zero time through CFI, CFII, and MEI. The structured curriculum covers every rating on the airline pathway: Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and Certified Flight Instructor ratings.
Diamond DA42 Twin Star — Multi-Engine Training On Site
The Kissimmee campus has the Diamond DA42 Twin Star on site — giving students direct
access to multi-engine training without leaving their home campus. Most Florida
flight schools require students to travel for multi-engine training. At Kissimmee,
it is built into the program.
The DA42 is a modern glass cockpit twin used by
professional operators worldwide, and logging time in it early in your
career gives you a measurable edge in airline hiring evaluations.
Airline Partnerships — Delta Propel and Republic Airways RJet

The Kissimmee campus
participates in two of the most significant airline cadet pipelines in the country.
The Delta Propel program offers a conditional flow offer to Endeavor Air for
students who complete their CFI ratings and instruct at SunState, with a clear path
to Delta Air Lines.
The Republic Airways
RJet Cadet Program connects students directly to one of the largest regional
operators in the country, serving American Airlines, United Airlines®, and Delta Air
Lines.
